Palais Dar Soukkar

Designed from the ruins of a 16th-century sugar refinery and thus rich in 450 years of history, Dar Soukkar is one of the prestigious and enchanting venues in Marrakech presented by Unitours Maroc for exceptional events, only a 20mn drive from the city centre.

The Palais Dar Soukkar, which translates to “the palace of sugar” in Arabic, is a legendary venue steeped in history.

Built in the 16th century on the grounds of a former sugar factory, remnants of which still exist today, the palace was renovated in 2004 to host prestigious private events such as the Marrakech International Film Festival, Marrakech Du Rire comedy festival, and Dior soirées. In 2016, it opened its doors to the general public, offering an unmissable dinner show experience.

The establishment is divided into two spaces: the indoor area features a restaurant, a lounge space, and a covered terrace, while the outdoor area boasts a 1200 sqm terrace. With a seating capacity of 1800 guests for a sit-down dinner and 2500 guests for cocktail receptions, including the terrace, it is a sought-after venue for conferences, galas, and ceremonies for both corporate and private events, as recognized by event planners.

This unique and historic venue exudes an indescribable beauty. Housed within a former sugar factory, guests can discover the best of Moroccan, Asian, and Mediterranean cuisine, while immersing themselves in a mesmerizing ambiance of music and entertainment.

The venue offers a wide range of amenities, including bars, lounges, and spacious rooms. The expansive terrace, known as The Esplanade, is a standout feature, providing a stunning setting for events and the option to add an elegant tent during winter months. The dining room is seamlessly connected to a private discotheque, allowing for various booking configurations to meet the specific needs of clients, from single rooms to exclusive use of the entire venue.

The service is tailored to a gala style, and the cuisine reflects a fusion of Moroccan, French, and Asian influences, adding a unique touch to the overall experience.
